“The Heidi Chronicles” is a play by Wendy Wasserstein, first produced in 1988. It follows the life of Heidi Holland, a successful art historian, as she navigates various social and political issues in the United States from the 1960s to the 1980s. While she achieves professional success, she grapples with the sacrifices required to achieve it, including the loss of meaningful relationships and the struggle to balance work and motherhood while finding her own voice and place in a rapidly changing world.

IN THE JESSE H. AND MARY GIBBS JONES THEATER
Art imitates Life. Life imitates Art. When two actors with a history are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama, they quickly lose touch with reality as the lines between offstage and onstage begin to blur.
