Apply for Financial Aid
Southwestern University requires students to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for all forms of need-based financial aid.
Changes are coming to the FAFSA!
The FAFSA Simplification Act means big changes are coming to the application for the 2024-25 academic year.
FAFSA General Information
The FAFSA is used to determine your eligibility for federal, state, and institutional need based aid. Students must submit a FAFSA each year they wish to be considered for need-based financial aid. An academic year for financial aid is Fall, Spring and Summer. For the 2024-2025 year, the FAFSA is scheduled to be available in December 2023.
