The University is committed to ensuring continued operations in the event of a significant and sustained interruption of academic or administrative functions. The Business Continuity Plan Task Force has developed a broad plan describing the University’s disaster preparedness, emergency response and recovery, crisis communication, and other related matters. The Emergency Management Team is led by the Dean of the Faculty, the Vice President for Finance and Administration, and the Vice President for Student Life and includes members from all campus constituencies. These same three individuals also lead the Avian Flu Pandemic Planning Committee.
The University encourages each member of the campus community to not only be aware of the mechanisms which are in place to communicate information in the event of an emergency, but to develop their own family preparedness plan.
