SU’s psych major provides an excellent foundation, and in only 3 years, you’ll be ready to practice psychiatry in a mental health facility or in private practice.

November 30Shireen is currently working as a Financial Manager for the Somali Youth & Family Club, a Seattle area non-profit dedicated to providing social services to area’s Somali community. She graduated in June of 2016 with her Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) from the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington (UW). Shireen also completed the Evans School’s International Development Certificate Program to further pursue her academic and professional passion for development work in Africa.

As a student, she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi, Delta Omicron, Student Congress, Chorale and Opera Theatre; she held a job at a law office and an internship at the Williamson County Museum; and says during all of that she “consumed copious amounts of coffee at Cianfrani Coffee Co.”
