Established in 2013 by Patty Rundell Bell and Dr. Paul A. Bell along with other friends and family of Dr. Jesse E. Purdy to honor his legacy and commitment to the Psychology and Animal Behavior programs at Southwestern. For more than 35 years, Dr. Purdy trained and mentored students by emphasizing the critical role undergraduate research plays in preparing students for graduate studies or employment. The Purdy Endowed Fund for Collaborative Research was created to ensure that students continue to benefit from these experiences.
