Liz Medina Elizabeth Medina is the Director of Inclusion & Accountability at Everly Health, a health-care provider focused on digital, diagnostics-driven care.  Previously, Dr. Medina held various positions related to diversity and student life over a six-year period at Concordia University Texas.  She has held similar positions at the University of Texas at Austin and at Huston-Tillotson University.  During the 2002–03 and 2003–04 academic years, Dr. Medina was a visiting faculty member at Southwestern.

Dr. Medina’s extensive volunteer experience includes membership on the boards of the Long Center for the Performing Arts, the Austin Area Urban League, RISE Child Development Center, and and the African-American Leadership Institute.  She has been an invited speaker at the Austin Young Chamber LEAD Summit and at the McCombs School of Business Elevate Conference.  She is a recipient of the 2021 National Diversity & Leadership Conference DEI Champion Award.

Liz graduated from Southwestern, where she majored in sociology and psychology with a women’s study minor.  She earned her masters and doctoral degrees in sociology from UCLA in 1999 and 2003 respectively.  Liz is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  She currently is the President-Elect of the Association of Southwestern University Alumni.
