What would be your advice to prospective students about the college search?

Visiting a campus is the best way to get to know an institution! Visit as many options as possible while also creating a list of non-negotiables for your college experience: i.e. being able to study abroad, joining a greek life organization, being able to get research experience etc.

Why should students attend Southwestern?

Students should attend Southwestern because of its warm community feel and fantastic high-impact learning experiences. Not only will students gain a world-class education, they will also be able to take advantage of study abroad, internship, and research opportunities while still being able to graduate within 4 years!

What are your favorite restaurants in Georgetown and why?

600 Degrees Pizza because they have lots of fun specialty flavors but their basic pizzas are always delicious too.

What is your favorite thing to do in Georgetown and why?

I love checking out the town square on a nice sunny day! There’s always something new happening and the local small businesses and restaurants are unmatched.

What are your favorite restaurants in Austin and why?

Juliet Italian Kitchen is my favorite because of the Italian food (my FAVORITE) and the great location right by Zilker Park!

What is your favorite thing to do in Austin and why?

I love exploring new live music venues, shopping at the domain, paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake and checking out comedy shows downtown!

What is your favorite SU fun fact?

We have three colonies of feral cats that live on campus! Seeing them outside my office window is always a highlight of my day.

What is your favorite SU tradition?

Leaving a food offering to the Monstrance in exchange for a better grade

What is your favorite place on campus?

The academic mall

What are your hobbies?

Listening to music and going to concerts, reading, long walks through Zilker Park, watching F1 races and hockey, and spending time with family and friends!

Where were you born, and, if different, what do you consider your hometown?

I was born in Dayton, Ohio but I consider Colorado Springs, Colorado my hometown! Fun fact: I am a “military brat” and have lived in 6 different states!

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

Manatees are my favorite animal, and I once went swimming with them in Crystal River, Florida!

If you could have coffee in the Cove with anyone in the world, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Rob McElhenney because It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is my favorite TV show of all time and I’d love to pick his brain about it and have some good laughs!

Trying out new restaurants in Austin or spending time with friends.

Teleportation, so I could travel anywhere in the world for free!
