Jay Marshall

Jay Marshall is a managing director at, and the Chief Learning Officer of, AlixPartners, LLP, a global management consulting firm.  Previously, he was a partner in Booz.Allen & Hamilton’s energy practice and managing partner of the firm’s Dallas office.  He also served as board chair of TKXS, a business-to-business technology and data solutions company based in North Carolina.

Mr. Marshall is a member of both the Inaugural Class of Henry Crown Fellows and the Aspen Global Leadership Network and is a Senior Moderator at The Aspen Institute.  He is a former board member of both the Dallas Symphony Association and the AT&T Performing Arts Center and was a trustee of The Dallas Opera from 1994 to 2014, ultimately serving as that organization’s president and board chair.

Jay earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Princeton University in 1983 and an MBA in finance from The University of Texas in 1986, where he was a Sord Scholar and received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.  Before his election as a trustee, Jay was a member of Southwestern’s board of visitors, chairing that board from 2018 to 2020.  He is also a trustee of Princeton Theological Seminary.
