Expertise

Instruction in elementary music, Kodaly pedagogy, Orff-Schulwerk

This is my twenty-first year teaching elementary music in Texas public schools. I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas State University with an emphasis in Kodály pedagogy, and completed Orff-Schulwerk training at Trinity University in San Antonio. I’m a National Board Certified Teacher and part-time professor of music at Southwestern University. I’ve had the privilege of presenting workshops and clinics for the Texas Music Educators Association convention, several Texas regions, Kodály Educators of Texas, and Round Rock ISD. In addition to teaching, I’m the author of several children’s books.
