Kevin McMahonKevin McMahon, a certified public accountant, has had a long career In tax and business consulting with a recent concentration on valuation and litigation support services. He currently is semi-retired as a partner with the McMahon Vinson Boyd & Hubbard, LLP accounting firm, with which he has been associated since 1973. In addition to being licensed as a CPA, he has earned the certified valuation analyst designation and has become AICPA accredited in business valuations. Mr. McMahon is a member of the Electric Utility Board of Lubbock Power & Light, serves on the advisory board of PlainsCapital Bank, and is a director of the Lubbock Downtown Development Corporation and of AquaSmart Enterprises.

Mr. McMahon has been active in civic affairs, currently serving as treasurer and trustee of The CH Foundation. He previously has served on boards or committees for numerous other community and non-profit organizations, including The Community Foundation of West Texas, Covenant Health System of Lubbock, and Guadalupe-Parkway Community Centers. In 2006, the Lubbock Area United Way honored Mr. McMahon with the Rita Harman Volunteer Service Award for for “a Lifetime of Community Service.”

Kevin received his BBA in accounting from Texas Tech University in 1973. At the time of his election as a Southwestern trustee, Kevin was a member of Southwestern’s board of visitors.
