Tim Cobb joined the senior staff of Southwestern University on July 18, 2016, as CMO and Vice President of Integrated Communications. Prior to beginning his tenure at Southwestern, he served as Managing Director of DHX Advertising, Inc. and oversaw the brand and marketing strategies for a number of higher education clients such as Portland State University and Willamette University/MBA. During his leadership, DHX Advertising enjoyed 300% growth and an expansion of their national and international client base. Prior to DHX, Tim was President and Creative Director for Staccato Creative Communications, a highly respected branding communications agency. For 14 years Tim helped create and implement brand strategies for such notable clients as US Bank and Dr. Martens footwear as well as key initiatives for Oregon State University and Oregon Health Science University.

His background includes senior positions as both a creative and account strategist with Young & Rubicam/New York, INS Advertising and the Oswego Group. Tim received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Oregon State University and holds a Masters of Management Science from Purdue University’s Krannet School of Business. He is a past president of both the Portland Advertising Federation and the Oregon Marketing Association.

Tim is a strong supporter of USA Track and Field and is a certified NCAA Track and Field Official.  Tim and his wife Sandy have three adult children, Kaitlin, Kelsey and Connor.
