Jaime Woody joined the President’s Staff of Southwestern University in August 2015 as Vice President for Student Life.  Student Life promotes the mission of Southwestern University by implementing programs and delivering services that provide values-centered education of the whole person.  These co-curricular programs and services facilitate students’ development of competencies and reflect a shared responsibility for student learning within an undergraduate residential liberal arts community.  Student Life fosters a challenging, supportive environment in which the uniqueness of each individual is respect and valued. Southwestern’s Student Life division includes athletics, career services, counseling and health services, diversity education, Greek life, Honor Code, intramural and recreational activities, residence life, spiritual and religious life and the Chaplain’s office, student activities, student conduct and discipline, and the University police.

Jaime’s SU career began as the Jones Complex Residential Center Coordinator where she was a live-in professional staff member in residence life.  In her 25-plus years at Southwestern University, she has also served in the roles of dean of students & director of residence life, associate dean for student life, director of student life, director of student activities.  During her time at Southwestern, Jaime has worked with various programs and organizations including orientation, student government, Honor Code, cheerleaders, Panhellenic, coffeehouse, three student publications and summer conferences.  Jaime received a Bachelor of Arts in English education from Northeastern State University and a Master of Science in educational psychology from Texas A&M University.

In 2008, Jaime received Southwestern’s Joe S. Mundy Award for Exemplary Service. In 2010, she was awarded the Robert D. Bradshaw Small Colleges Student Advocate Award from Region III of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.  Jaime has been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, and the Order of Omega Greek Leadership Honor Society. She is a member of the National Association for Student Personnel Administrators and serves on various committees within the organization.  Additionally, she is a member of the Association of Fraternity & Sorority Advisors, the Texas Association for Colleges and Universities Student Personnel Administrators, and the Association for College Personnel Administrators.

Jaime resides in Georgetown.
