Alexandra Anderson

Alexandra Anderson has enjoyed supporting Southwestern students and alumni in their career development journeys since 2000. Prior to her service at SU, Alex worked at the University of California at Davis, the University of Arizona and the University of Texas at Austin in career services and residence life. A liberal arts student herself, she graduated from UT with a BA in Spanish and linguistics, an MA in Spanish linguistics and an MEd in higher education administration. Alex has been active in the career services professional community, serving as the chair of the Central Texas Liberal Arts Career Consortium for nearly 20 years, on the Board of Directors of the Southwest Association of Colleges and Employers, the Conference Committee of the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers, and as a mentor in the National Association of Colleges and Employers, among other positions. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, reading, tap dancing, working out, eating (hence the working out), traveling, and walking with her dog. She grew up as a German-American “Army brat” and welcomes students to practice their German with her.
