The Empty Bowls project is where participants purchase ceramic bowls and choose a soup to go in them, the money raised goes towards feeding the hungry. This year, over 200 bowls will be donated. All of the donated bowls were made by Southwestern University ceramic students, faculty, and staff.

The event will take place on Monday, January 28 from 12-1:30 p.m. in the Commons. All proceeds from this event go to a local food bank.

The Southwestern Empty Bowls project is a joint effort by the ceramic department, Arts in Action Paideia cohort and Dr. David Asbury, Professor of Music, and the Brown Symposium. To learn more about The Empty Bowls project visit www.emptybowls.net.
