Since graduating from Southwestern in 2009, Katie continued to pursue her interests in Political Science and Anthropology. After spending two years in Washington, DC, working for Meridian International Center, a non-profit organization that collaborates with the U.S. Department of State, Katie returned to the academic world to pursue a Ph.D. in Political Theory at Johns Hopkins University. Her research currently focuses on formations of subjectivity, imagination, and modernity. She recently defended her dissertation and completed her Ph.D. in Political Science at Johns Hopkins. Her current book project examines the concept of political autonomy from the perspective of psychoanalytic theory.
