Smith Library Center
Announcing New Popular Reading Collection
The Smith Library Center is excited to introduce a new popular fiction book display sponsored by Baker & Taylor. Every six weeks, the library will be leasing 10 - 20 titles. These titles will include bestsellers and highly anticipated new releases in a variety of genres. The new books will be displayed on the first floor of the SLC next to Maria’s Cafe. New titles will be available on their publishing date.
A suggestion box will be available for students, staff, and faculty to provide book/author/genre suggestions. Although not every suggestion may be fulfilled, we will do our best to accommodate your requests. Books may be checked out for up to 14 days. The loan policy is accessible under “Best Seller.” Due to the nature of this program, ILL requests and Texshare card holders are excluded from checkout of this collection. To ensure the books circulate to several interested patrons, titles may not be put on hold before they arrive at the library, and checkouts cannot be extended past the two weeks.
We will list the titles in each new shipment below. Please follow us on Instagram @smith_library_su or Facebook to see when the new books will be available. The first set of books will be ready for checkout on August 21st, 2023.
