Connecting an Apple Laptop to a Projector or TV
Attach the white VGA adapter to your MacBook’s mini-Displayport. |

Make sure both the MacBook and projector (or TV) are powered on, and then connect the VGA cable to the adapter. |

Connect the audio cable to the headphone jack on your laptop. |

Go to “System Preferences” which can be found by clicking on the Apple icon in the upper right-hand corner. |

Select the “Displays” icon. |

For OS 10.7 or earlier, click on Detect Displays. For OS 10.8, hold down the “option” key and “Gather Windows” will change to “Detect Displays.” |

Select the “Arrangement” tab. Then ensure that the “Mirror Displays” option is checked. This will make the projector display what is on the MacBook’s screen. |

If you still don’t see you laptop on the screen, leave everything connected and reboot (Shut Down) our computer.
