Southwestern University, located in Georgetown, has an immediate opening for a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Office of the Dean of the Faculty.  Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, this is an in-person, full-time, twelve-month position with full benefits.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to: serving as receptionist and primary point of contact for the office; providing administrative support, at varying levels, to the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, and the Director of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship; coordinating a variety of recurring projects including the Dean’s List notifications, the course evaluation system, and the Teaching Awards program; providing support for regional accreditation activities, including on-site visits; act as liaison between the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and the academic affairs support staff across campus; providing support to other staff in the office, as needed; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:  high school diploma or equivalent; five or more years office/clerical experience; mastery of the Microsoft Word Suite, including Excel; experience with Google Workspace products (Gmail, Google calendar, etc); ability to work both independently and as a member of a team; commitment to providing outstanding customer service; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; flexibility regarding changing priorities; excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with a keen attention to detail; commitment to the University’s core values, including fostering diverse perspectives. Prior work experience in higher education is preferred.
