The Texas United Methodist College Association (TUMCA) has announced the 2020–2021 recipients of their annual scholarship, and Southwestern University’s Anna Teekell ’21, an English major from Nacogdoches, Texas, and Alli Ziehm ’23, of Conroe, Texas, are among this year’s nine winners.

“We at TUMCA are proud of these scholars from churches in the Texas Conference,” says James C. Lewis, president of TUMCA.

For more than 70 years, Methodist congregations across the state have donated funds to the TUMCA to provide financial assistance to college students who are active in United Methodist churches in Texas. The scholarships are intended to support these students’ “academic accomplishments, life-skills training, and faith enrichment,” according to the TUMCA.

Congratulations to Anna and Alli!
