Southwestern University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Instruction in Kinesiology to begin in August 2020. This is a nine-month, non-tenure-track staff position with faculty rank with a specialization in Health and Wellness. The University seeks to extend its tradition of excellence by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college. The faculty member will be expected to contribute to existing course offerings such as Health & Fitness Concepts, Exercise Prescription, Stress Management and Health Promotion and Programming as well provide support for courses in areas such as anatomy and physiology. The position also includes expectations of committee service and advising.
A Ph.D. in Kinesiology, exercise science or related area is required. Preference will be given to applicants with an established record of undergraduate teaching.
