I am a Sophomore from Dallas, Texas and currently majoring in Biology and Psychology with a minor in Health Studies. I serve as a Mosaic ambassador, co-president of Students for Environmental Activism and Knowledge (SEAK), and am a member of Alpha Phi Omega, the Coalition for Diversity and Social Justice (CDSJ), and the Garden Club.  When I arrived at Southwestern, I was not the most extroverted person and was somewhat reluctant to socialize and participate in community events. Southwestern, however, being a small knit community that encourages a co-curricular approach through Mosaic, offers a safe space to socialize and have an active role in campus life. Within a year, I was able to cement myself as an officer in SEAK and entered my Sophomore year as a Co-president.  By participating in many organizations, I am gaining new knowledge, obtaining new skills and making connections with many wonderful people! During my first year at SU, there were times where I questioned whether I made the right college choice. However, after embedding myself in these organizations and being shaped by many members of the Southwestern community, I have developed into a better student, citizen, leader, and person. I am now so proud to call this campus my home.
