Flex Controlled Wheelchair

The goal of our project is to repurpose a power wheelchair with an alternative control system using a glove outfitted with sensors, allowing the user to control their wheelchair with small movements of the hand. The user will wear a glove that collects and sends data regarding finger movement to an arduino via bluetooth connection. The arduino will interpret commands from the user and indicate to the wheelchair where to move next which will be housed in a 3D-printed armband so that the user will not have wires in their way. The armband will also house a few tiny light bulbs to indicate to the user that the system is on and in the control state.
