The newest machine in the library is a Knowledge Imaging Center (KIC) book scanner. This user-friendly machine features a touchscreen and built-in user guide. Grant monies were used to purchase this machine during Summer break.
KIC will scan up to 30 pages per session and save the images to the user’s USB stick. The user can also email images from KIC to their personal account.
Optional features include creating searchable PDF files and text-to-speech files.
There is no cost for using KIC. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome and encouraged to use KIC. If you need assistance, please consult the InfoDesk.
