The Roy and Margaret Shilling Lecture Series is pleased to welcome renowned social psychologist Jonathan Haidt, Professor of Ethical Leadership, New York University—Stern School of Business and Author of New York Times Best Seller The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion as our guest speaker at the 2018 Roy and Margaret Shilling Lecture Series on January 31, 2018.


Named one of the top 100 Global Thinkers by Foreign Policy magazine, Jonathan Haidt is among the world’s top experts on the psychology of morality and politics.  His TED talks have been viewed more than 3 million times and his work has been presented at the World Economic Forum, the Aspen Ideas Festival, the British Academy, and on the Colbert Report. 

Haidt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University in 1985 and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992.  He was a professor in the department of Psychology at the University of Virginia from 1995 until 2011, when he joined the NYU Stern School of Business.
