Boxing Day: A Short Film about Family, the Holidays, and an Unspoken Tragedy
SU Advisor: Desi Roybal
The objective of this project is to see through a short film from conception to completion. Boxing Day is a heartfelt story about the nuisances and necessities of family coming together for the holidays. My intention for making this film is to tell an important story in a visually compelling and affective manner. The project will include three phases: preproduction, production, and post production; and each phase will present a number of tasks and challenges that are vital to the completion of the film. My hope is that the making of this film will be a valuable learning experience for those involved. Henceforth, I am excited to engage Southwestern in the filmmaking process, while challenging the community to share their own stories in meaningful and creative ways.
