Describe yourself.
I am an artist. When I’m not in the studio painting, I’m usually working on another assignment or project.

What was your crowning achievement at SU?
I would say that my biggest achievement at SU was not only writing and completing an Honors Thesis in painting, but also creating the body of landscape paintings that were exhibited in my Senior B.F.A. art exhibition: In Nature. I loved being able to dedicate myself to both these tasks.

What piece of advice do you have for new students?
Make sure you take some classes that interest you and that are not just required for your major. As a transfer student, I didn’t have a lot of time in my schedule to do that, but if I could go back I would take more classes.

How did Southwestern prepare you for the future?
Through various activities offered on campus, I learned communication and networking skills. The Office of Career Services offers great advice and help with preparing a resume for getting job after graduation. I highly recommend their services.

What are you doing now?
Ultimately, I want to live and work as an artist. If I am dreaming really big, I’d love to open a gallery or a museum some day, too.
