At Southwestern, you will find a community engaged in continual conversation about important matters of the day, as informed by those fundamental ideas that have inspired centuries of thought, wisdom, and imagination. As a top-ranked liberal arts and sciences university in Texas, Southwestern balances its core academic values with an uncompromised experiential approach. Known as Paideia, our curricular philosophy embraces multiple disciplines in a confluence of research, seminars, civic engagement, and open dialogue that spans well beyond the classroom. Coupled with a rich 175 year history, an array of athletic teams, student programs, and study-abroad opportunities, Southwestern continues to set the pace for a 21st century education.

As our guest, Southwestern is underwriting up to $300 in transportation costs. All other expenses during the program, including ground travel, lodging (double occupancy) and meals will also be covered by Southwestern. To process your travel reimbursement, you will need to send proof of payment for your airfare. You will receive your reimbursement check when you arrive on campus for the program.

Airport Information
Participants are requested to fly into Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). While many airlines serve our airport, we have found that Southwest Airlines often has convenient flights at the most reasonable prices. Arrange for a flight that lands at AUS no later than 4:00 pm on Sunday.

Airport to Hotel Shuttles on Sunday
Two rounds of airport shuttles will be offered. The first will depart from baggage claim at 1:30 p.m. and the second will depart from baggage claim at 4:30 p.m. Each shuttle will drop off at the hotel.

Campus to Airport Shuttles on Monday
Airport shuttles will depart at 1:00 p.m. (for flights no earlier than 3:00 p.m.) and 3:00 p.m. (for flights no earlier than 5:00 p.m.)

**If you are arriving/departing on different day/time, you will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the airport.

In Georgetown: TBD. The program includes a double-occupancy hotel room. Should you prefer a single room, we would be happy to reserve it for you and underwrite half of the cost. A typical hotel room in Georgetown usually costs between $50-$120 per night.
