Alisa Gaunder, professor of political science, and Kim Smith, professor of art history, gave a preview of the seminar they plan to teach for the Paideia cluster on “Representing Gender.” After their presentations, audience members were asked to apply what they had learned to propaganda posters from the Cultural Revolution in China (next).

Chandler Johnson and Amir Hessabi (center) won the award for the best creative work for their solar lounge chair. Maryanne Clendenen won the award for best poster presentation and a group that included seven students from the Department of Math and Computer Science won the award for the best oral presentation. Other award winners were Katie Ferrick, who won the prize for the best PechaKucha presentation, and Alex Michael, who had the most attendees at his oral presentation.
