We created the Office of Civic Engagement to support our students’ desires to enhance their Southwestern education through civic engagement experiences.
We launched Paideia, a distinctive and holistic program, transcending conventional approaches to teaching and learning through a student-driven, faculty-led experience.
Approximately $12 million have been received to The Southwestern Fund to support the priority needs on campus.
$2 million in additional endowment have been received to expand the Brown Scholars Program.
Construction of the Wilhelmina Cullen Admission Center is complete.
The Charles & Elizabeth Prothro Center for Lifelong Learning construction project began in July 2008 and is progressing toward completion. We are planning a dedication ceremony for March 11, 2010.
More than $3.4 million has been added in endowment and annual restricted gifts for faculty positions and faculty research and creative works (not including federal grant money).
Our Living/Learning campus has been enhanced to support the education of the whole person.
Renovation work and new construction at the Alma Thomas Fine Arts Center for the Sarofim School of Fine Arts is complete.
