Sarofim School of Fine Arts’ Music Department is delighted to present a master class with GRAMMY Award-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux.

Jason Vieaux will offer Southwestern students one-on-one guidance to strengthen their guitar playing techniques at a master class the afternoon before his concert. This class is free and open to the public, and is a great opportunity to observe a master musician offering expert advice to training guitarists.

Jason Vieaux Bio:

Classical guitarist Jason Vieaux’s exquisite performances have captivated a wide range of audiences. Aside from having performed at every major guitar series in North America, his phenomenal technique is appreciated at international festivals across the globe, and he has been featured as a soloist with over one hundred orchestras. Mr. Vieaux also pursues impressive recording projects, and his recent solo album, Play, won the 2015 GRAMMY Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo. In between touring and recording he enjoys teaching, and in 2012 he launched the Jason Vieaux School of Classical Guitar, a virtual academy that allows aspiring musicians around the globe to engage with him in one-on-one sessions.
