Sarofim School of Fine Arts’ Music Department is proud to present GRAMMY Award-winning soprano Laura Claycomb as part of the 2018/2019 Sarofim Music Series.

Ms. Claycomb will be accompanied by GRAMMY Award-nominated producer Keith Weber on piano, Hai Zheng-Olefsky on cello, and David Asbury on guitar for a performance titled “Women’s Voices,” that is based on poetry written by women.

Texas native Laura Claycomb is a world-class performer celebrated for her exceptionally high range and enchanting stage presence. She has been featured in over seventy-five orchestral and operatic roles, gracing prominent stages across the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom such as the Paris Opera, Houston Grand Opera, the San Francisco Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. Along with her passion for performance, Ms. Claycomb is dedicated to training aspiring opera singers and serves as a consultant for the Bolshoi Young Artist Program. Although Ms. Claycomb now resides in Italy, she recently returned to Texas in 2018 to perform the role of Donna Anna in the Dallas Opera’s production of Don Giovanni.
