Jue Yao is a violinist originally from Shanghai, China who has majorly impacted Hong Kong’s music community. Her performances with her 1713 Stradivarius violin throughout Europe, Asia and the U.S. have been celebrated as “captivating,” “technically impressive,” and “lustrous” by music critics. In addition to being a world renowned performer and a featured artist at the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Yao is a Juilliard School of New York graduate who holds numerous music committee memberships. In 2002 Ms. Yao founded her own music academy, and in 2013 she established the Hong Kong String Orchestra. It comes as no surprise that Ms. Yao has received many awards for her impressive accomplishments, including the “10 Most Successful Women” award in 2005 and the “Outstanding Women of the Year” award in 2012.
