Please mark your calendars for the event.

This exciting and creative event showcases Paideia’s unique approach to making connections and interdisciplinary thinking. Two distinguished SU students from different disciplines will each give a talk on their current scholarly or creative work. All members of the audience will then propose pertinent connections they have identified between the content of both talks.

This year, our two speakers are both Honors Thesis students in Classics and English, respectively. Owen Steinle’s talk is entitled “Scythia and Imperium in Justin’s Epitome”. Jess Karli’s talk is entitled “Images of the Victorian Mind: The Representation of China in 19th Century British Literature and Culture”.
