More about Open Kitchen:

Open Kitchen has been in operation for just over 9 years, and it was founded out of the belief that we are called to work acts of justice throughout the world and in our local community in hope of making a positive difference. Prior to the pandemic, we served a warm meal and offered the time and space for people to eat, connect, and find community. In response to the pandemic, we now serve a warm, free meal “to-go.” Though our model has changed, our mission to feed bodies and souls has not. There are still many connections made and much community happens each week in addition to the meals provided. We do anticipate being back in person (hopefully, late Spring) once we can gather enough funds to pay for the ventilation repairs needed to host large numbers of folks in our dining room and once that work can be completed. We have served a meal every Wednesday since November 20th, 2013, that adds up to 477 Wednesdays and 54,162 meals.
