We are hosting a photography contest during the month of January!  Prizes will be awarded to the winners for each of the five categories.  

The categories are: Scenery, Cultural Experience, The World is Your Classroom, Most Epic Selfie, and #SUGoAbroad. You can submit up to three photos for each category. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each category.

Category Descriptions
Scenery: Send us your pictures of breathtaking landscapes, soaring buildings, impressive bridges, and the like. Photos can be from your Study Abroad/Study Away institution or someplace your visited during your time away.

The World is Your Classroom: Every study abroad/study away experience is different, inside the classroom and out. It focuses on the purpose of study abroad/study away learning. Submit a picture of you on your host campus or doing something educations while abroad/away (such as a study tour or field research).

Most Epic Selfie: Studying Abroad/Away is an experience unique to each student. Share your favorite selfie of you in a unique location while participating in Study Abroad/Away.

Cultural Experience: Experiencing the culture of your host city or country is a key aspect of Studying Abroad/Away. Show us how you embraced the local culture by enjoying traditional cuisine, visiting a famous location, taking a local dance class, etc.

#SUGoAbroad: Students, show off our SU spirit while Abroad/Away in your host city or country by featuring Southwestern University branding or other demonstrations of school spirt. Capture a fun photo of you and/or your fellow SU students in your local context.

Contest Rules & Details
-With the exception of the Scenery category, students submitting the photo must be present in the photo.
-Students may submit up to three photos per category.
-Filters and editing tools available may be used.
-By submitting photos, photographers grant the Office of Study Abroad and International Student Services the right to use their photo.
-Winners will be selected by the Southwestern University Office of Study Abroad and International Student Services
-First place winners will be awarded travel-related merchandise!
-The contest is open to all currently enrolled SU students who have participated or are currently participating in a Study Abroad or Study Away program.

How to Submit a Photo
To submit a photo for the contest, click on this link that will take you to the submission form.  You will be able to upload your photo(s) within the form. Submissions must be received between January 17 and January 31.
