Explore career opportunities in a diverse array of Career Communities through these informal Q&A sessions with alumni and other professionals. Hear about what they do, how they got there, and what advice they’d offer you to do something similar. This session features Claire Campbell ’03, Creative Writing Instructor at Southwestern University, and private writing coach.

Claire graduated from Southwestern in 2003 with majors in English and Culture & Sustainability. She worked at the Writing Center and took part in Mask & Wig, Canterbury and the Environmental Action Committee while a student. Claire also earned her MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Sarah Lawrence College. Claire is an experienced writer and teacher of writing, including working in New York City for many years for organizations like Learning Leaders, Legal Outreach and ENACT, INC, before returning to the Austin area. Here she has served as program director at The Writing Barn, camp coordinator at The Library Foundation, and development and communications coordinator at the Texas Land Conservancy. Most recently, Claire has rejoined the SU community as a creative writing instructor in the English department.

Southwestern University supports learning wherever it takes place. The Center for Career & Professional Development contributes to the Southwestern University Student Life MOSAIC initiative by providing advising, programming and resources to help students develop as a whole person.
