Join Dr. Emily Sydnor, Assistant Professor of Political Science, to learn about navigating polarized political conversations.

Chances are that as you settle in at Southwestern, you’ll encounter roommates, suite-mates, and classmates that have different political perspectives than you, particularly as the general election campaigns heat up. We’ll talk about what political science research can tell us about effective strategies for discussing contentious political issues and listening to people we disagree with, as well as some of the opportunities to get involved in nonpartisan political engagement work around campus.

RSVP is required for in-person programs; 10 seats are available per residence hall. You may only attend programs in the residence hall in which you reside.

Go to Southwestern.edu/mosaic to RSVP

RSVP links will also be posted on Campus Notices a few days before the event.
