• Brendan Kinsella, piano.
The Music Department is proud to present a concert with acclaimed contemporary pianist, Brendan Kinsella.

Brendan Kinsella is a collaborative contemporary pianist who has been described by the Cincinnati Enquirer as a “sensitive musician with an ear for color.” Since his concerto debut at age 15, he has performed across the country and internationally in concerti ranging from Beethoven to Barber with the Kentucky Symphony, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Dayton Philharmonic, the Kansas City Symphony, and more. His concerts featuring the works of living composers have been met with critical acclaim, including a glowing review by The Kansas City Star of his performances of George Crumb’s chamber repertoire as a “marvelous” display of “convincing tonal colors, impressive technique, and incisive rhythms.” Kinsella is also a passionate teacher, and he currently serves as an Associate Professor of Piano at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley.
