Paideia with Distinction recognizes your cultivated curiosity and desire to learn, explore and create change. These characteristics are the valuable, real-life skills that make Southwestern University graduates highly sought-after by recruiters, employers and the nation’s top graduate programs.
The path to Paideia with Distinction is through the completion of the Paideia seminar + a Paideia Minor OR two high-impact practices. Here is a list of high-impact practices:
- studying abroad
- completing a Community-Engaged Learning course
- completing an academic internship
- student-faculty research
- obtaining and completing a King Creativity grant
- earning an advanced language proficiency ranking
