A documentary screening of Wasted! The Story of Food Waste followed by a panel discussion.

The Georgetown Green Film Series was established to bring awareness to the environmental crisis through the visual arts by presenting films with an environmental focus for free to the Georgetown and neighboring communities. In addition to showing an environmental film, a panel of experts is invited to lead a proactive discussion with the audience about the topic at hand.

Prior to major food-consuming holidays (i.e. Thanksgiving and Christmas), we will be showing Wasted! The Story of Food Waste, Anthony Bourdain’s 2017 documentary film about combating food waste. Watch the trailer here.

The schedule of the event is as follows:

  • 6:30 pm - Reception (light snacks and networking)
  • 7:00 pm - Film Screening
  • 8:30 pm - Panel Discussion
  • 9:00 pm - Event Closure

The event will take place in F.W. Olin Building at Southwestern University (1001 E University Ave, Georgetown, TX 78626), Room 105. This event was made possible through a City of Georgetown Arts & Culture Board grant.

Admission is free, but please RSVP on Eventbrite.
