The Sarofim School of Fine Arts is pleased to welcome pianist Fritz Gechter for a guest artist recital in the Caldwell-Carvey Foyer.

Pianist Fritz Gechter is a nationwide and international performer, appearing with respected groups such as the Spokane Symphony Orchestra, Omaha Municipal Orchestra, Laredo Philharmonic, and the McAllen Symphonic Band. He performed his European debut in Germany alongside his wife, soprano Suzanne Ramo, and debuted in Asia with violinist Yu-mei Huang. Outside of working as a solo and collaborative musician, Dr. Gechter is an Associate Professor of Music and Piano at Texas A&M International Institute, where he teaches applied and class piano. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Central Washington University, and his Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Piano Performance from The University of Texas at Austin under the training of Gregory Allen.
