IMPORTANT: In support of social distancing efforts, this event has been postponed until further notice. Ticket holders will be contacted with more information via email by Friday, March 20, 2020. Thank you for your support! The Sarofim School of Fine Arts is proud to present the Southwestern University Chorale and SU Singers’ spring concert, “Broadway, Bernstein and Beethoven,” under the direction of Beth Everett.
Join us in celebrating Beethoven’s 250th anniversary as both choirs perform Beethoven’s Choral Fantasia, featuring the Southwestern University Orchestra and a piano solo by Kiyoshi Tamagawa. Our Southwestern Chorale will also be performing popular works by Leonard Bernstein such as Chichester Psalms, selections from Candide, and “Dream with Me” from J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan. Southwestern University Singers’ performance will feature pieces from Golden Age musicals such as Westside Story, Anything Goes, and Fiddler on the Roof. Come and enjoy a performance by over 90 singers in both of our choirs including students, faculty, staff, and community members.
This event is free and open to the public.
