• Adam del Monte, guitar
The Music Department is excited to announce a Valentine’s Day guitar concert with guest artist Adam del Monte as part of the Sarofim Music Series season.

A renowned flamenco and classical guitarist/composer, Adam del Monte inventively infuses traditional flamenco with other musical styles from around the globe to create a truly unique sound. His talents have been featured in an impressive array of projects: playing the flamenco guitar part in Osvaldo Golijov’s double GRAMMY Award-winning opera “Ainadamar” which toured in Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, and the Barbican Centre; recording for the soundtracks of major motion pictures such as Munich, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Toy Story 3; and performing the Concierto de Aranjuez at Disney Hall, with the LA Philharmonic and with the Pacific Company. Soundboard Magazine has described Mr. del Monte as “a well-known proponent of the ‘new flamenco,’” and perhaps “one of the most technically gifted guitarists in the business.”
