• Alina Kobialka, violin
The Music Department is excited to announce a concert with guest violinist Alina Kobialka and faculty pianist Kiyoshi Tamagawa as part of the Sarofim Music Series season.

Illustrious young violinist Alina Kobialka has earned accolades from her peers, being lauded by the San Francisco Classical Voice as a “jaw-droppingly assured” artist who “made present and future converge.” At age thirteen she won the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra’s Concerto Competition, and in 2017 she claimed second place at the Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition as the youngest competitor. Appearing in her first orchestra solo at ten years old, Ms. Kobialka has gone on to perform with reputable international orchestras including the Las Vegas Philharmonic, the California Symphony, Macau Youth Symphony in China, and the Kagawa International Intercultural Youth Orchestra in Japan.
