Tristan and Connie, two young volunteers, agree to take part in a clinical drug trial. Quickly, their romantic desires compromise the research. They have no idea whether this is real love or just the drugs talking. The whole trial goes off the rails as the clinicians deal with Tristan and Connie’s romantic spark. This thought-provoking comedy questions the limits of the human spirit, love, and medicine.
Warnings: Mature Content, Adult Language, Sexual Content, Partial Nudity.
Note: There will be an immersive performance on Friday, April 12, in which the senior class will bring the atmosphere of The Effect past the fourth wall and into the realm of the audience.
