On-going Opportunities for Faith Communities to Gather and Grow Together
On-Going Worship and Meditation Opportunities On Campus:
Tuesday Night Worship (TNW)
A student-led worship gathering that provides an opportunity for prayer and singing. TNW is held every Tuesday night during the Fall and Spring semesters at 9pm in the Lois Perkins Chapel.
Each week, 4:15p to 4:50p, a local pastor or priest from a nearby church will share a message and students lead worship music for a time to gather and center ourselves in Christian love and fellowship in the Lois Perkins Chapel.
Chapel and Multi-Faith Prayer Room Hours
The Lois Perkins Chapel and the Multi-Faith Prayer Room is open 8am to midnight during the academic year for prayer and meditation. The adjacent Multi-Faith Prayer Room and Garden are designed for spiritual reflection and small group discussion.
Friday prayer for the Islamic community of SU is offered at 2pm in SLC 115. This time is centered around prayer and time together, led by a local Imam.
This is a once weekly open group, which means there is no signing up, just show up. The time together focuses on relaxation through guided meditation and guided imagery. The group meets every Tuesday at 4pm in Prothro Rm 200.
