Major in Kinesiology

Bachelor of Arts: 33 Kinesiology semester credits, including Kinesiology 48-244, 314, 404, 704, 714, either 424 or 764, 844 (Capstone), 4 additional Kinesiology semester credits, and one FRA course in addition to the two required by the general education requirement (repeated courses will not count).

Bachelor of Science: 37 Kinesiology semester credits plus 28 additional NS semester credits, including Kinesiology 48-254, 264, 314, 404, 704, 714, either 424 or 764, 844 (Capstone), 4 additional Kinesiology semester credits, and one FRA course in addition to the two required by the general education requirement (repeated courses will not count).

Required supporting course in the major: Mathematics 52-114 for the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. Biology 50-121, 123, 131, 133, Chemistry 51-151,153, 161, 163, Physics 154, 164, and Mathematics 52-154 for the Bachelor of Science degree.

NOTE: The Capstone Experience is satisfied by Kinesiology 48-844. Kinesiology 48-954 may be used to meet this requirement under the following conditions. The student must present a proposal describing the nature of his/her proposed Capstone experience. The faculty member supervising the activity and the Department Chair must approve this proposal. Approval must be obtained prior to registration in the semester preceding the independent study. Students seeking teaching certification may use student teaching to meet their Capstone requirement.

Minor in Kinesiology

20 semester credits, including Kinesiology 48-314, 404 and three from 48-244, 424, 704, 714.
