Pirates for Pride
The main intention of the Pirates for Pride is to foster a visible, tangible support group for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and Pansexual communities and their Allies.
Pirates for Pride, formerly SU Allies, hosts multiple events throughout the academic year. These include activism-based, social, and educational events.
We host mixers, as well as a large social event every semester.
Our activism events throughout the year attract a large amount of participation from the entire campus. We celebrate many events during October, LGBT history month, in addition, we host National Coming Out Day, Trans Day of Remembrance, National Day of Silence, documentary showings, and charity fundraisers.
