The Southwestern community came together and once again showed its amazing generosity during Southwestern Giving Day 2020. More than 1,200 donors participated and gave $278,589 to support designations across campus. Community Comes Together to Support Students during Southwestern Giving Day 2020
Let's Come Together for Southwestern
You belong to an amazing community of alumni, parents, and friends of Southwestern University. These are unprecedented and uncertain times for our communities and the needs of our students and faculty are as great as ever. Southwestern Giving Day 2020 affords us all an opportunity to come together to #LiftUpSU by showing the world how the Southwestern community bands together for one another.
During last year's inaugural Southwestern Giving Day, nearly 1,200 alumni, parents, and friends contributed more than $462,000 to Southwestern. This year's giving day, scheduled for April 7–8, will once again give you the opportunity to come together to make a difference at Southwestern. Please mark your calendar for April 7–8 and plan to join us to #LiftUpSU.

What is Giving Day?
Southwestern Giving Day is a celebration of everything our students and faculty have accomplished and what they can do with the support of our alumni and friends. We have set the ambitious goal of engaging 1,000 donors in 24 hours. Beyond donor support, Southwestern Giving Day is a wonderful opportunity for the Southwestern story to be shared far and wide, and for our alumni to reconnect with classmates.
Is there a minimum donation?
No! All gifts made between 12:00 p.m. CDT on April 7 and 12:00 p.m. CDT on April 8 will count toward our goal of 1,000 donors.
Do I have to give to the Southwestern Fund?
Your gift can be designated to any area on campus — any academic department, any athletic team, or any other part of Southwestern that means the most to you! We will have a lot of these options listed on our giving page, but please use the “Other” option if you don't see your favorite designation listed.
If I've already made a gift to Southwestern this year, how can I help?
We will need everyone's help to make Southwestern Giving Day a success! If you've already given to Southwestern this fiscal year (since July 1, 2019), we are looking for Giving Day Ambassadors to help share the message about Southwestern Giving Day with their classmates, friends, and family. You can sign up here to receive more information about being a Giving Day Ambassador.
