Innovator, Nonprofit (Arts)
Ashton Frey is a senior Business major. He is an at-large Board Member of Georgetown Young Professionals (GYP) and previously a member of the Citizens Bond Advisory Committee for Humble ISD. He is a member of the Southwestern University track and field team. Ashton also participated in the prestigious Marketing EDGE Collegiate Summit in summer 2021. Ashton’s project is an initiative to beautify roadways in his hometown of Houston, Texas titled the Houston Art and Paint Initiative (HAPI).
Ceridwen Grady
Innovator, Nonprofit (Arts)
Ceridwen Grady is a junior Business and Art History double major and a Design Thinking interdisciplinary minor. Ceridwen has numerous internship experiences including a curatorial internship at the Georgetown Art Center. Ceridwen is an active member of the Southwestern University campus: selected as a King Creativity Scholar in 21-22, served as an Ambassador for the Admissions Office, and acted as resident assistant for first year residents. Ceridwen’s project combines interests in art and business to develop an interactive gallery and makerspace for underserved markets with a specific focus on increased accessibility to such spaces.
Hannah Jones
Innovator, Tech for Fashion Industry
Hannah Jones is a senior Economics major and Data Science minor. Hannah is a member of the Southwestern University track team and serves in leadership roles in the Student Government association and Southwestern’s Business Club. She has interned at Rooster Teeth as a Development Intern in summer 2022. Hannah’s project tackles the lack of alignment in sizing in the fashion industry with the development of an application (app) to aid consumers in comparing sizes across brands.
Lavender Jones
Innovator, Listening Room Music Experiences
Lavender Jones is a senior Business and Music major. She is an accomplished guitarist and musician and has experience in music design and creation (Garage Band, Instagram and YouTube). She has studied abroad in Granada, Spain, allowing her to enhance her Spanish proficiency. Further, Lavender is a RA on campus and a tutor for Southwestern University’s Department of Math and Computer Science. Lavender’s project is the development of a listening room (a small venue with acoustic design and collections of music to cater to audiophiles) in potential partnership with a hotel venue.
Bryan Meissner
Innovator, Play and Consumer Entertainment
Bryan Meissner is a senior Business major and Environmental Studies minor. He previously earned an Associate of Arts Degree at Trinidad State. He is a member of the Southwestern University baseball team. Bryan has completed a sports marketing internship with Prosper Parks and Recreation. He has also worked in sales for Mirasol Solar in Sarasota, Florida. Bryan’s project is the development of a consumer entertainment product that can be used for recreation and/or team building events.
